Fabulous flowers workshop

 Well Hello Ladies!
So flower arranging, something I've never ever tried before! "How did it go?" I hear you cry.
Well sit back and allow me to wax lyrical for five minuets on why flower arranging is one of my new "things"
(Darn you Julie for making it so interesting and floral like)
I arrived at the Fleur De lis hall a quaint little snug, tucked out of site down a back ally. I arrived with cake, my trusty canon and no clue what to do!
After meeting all the other ladies having a cup of tea served in the prettiest vintage cups! (repeat to self DoNotPutUpJumperDoNotPutUpJumper) And grabbing a chair the workshop began.
Julie started by making a beautiful and effortless (for her) flower arrangement I got to see flowers I've never even herd of and was excited to be let loose on the goodie bag and vase left in my spot on the table!
I sat down next to a delightful woman named Liz who wasn't a novice like myself and gave me some interesting tips and advice.
Then I got stuck in! Julie came round and offered advice, tips and tricks and lots of help, the goodie bags where fantastic a pot, oasis (that green spongy when wet stuff you put the flowers in) cards a little handmade box of twine oooo it was too cute!
and this was all intersperse with homemade cake and tea off of vintage crockery.
When finished she showed us another great way of arranging then one of the ladies won the arrangement and got to take it home! I very happily took my arrangement home and vowed to go to the next class she does! you can See a bit about Julie here and contact her on fabulousflowers@hotmail.com

Is It A Bird? Is It A Plane? NO ITS A LAMA!...coat

Ok so you got me it's another jacket, In my defence it persuaded me with its foxyness.
My great grandmother has a full length grey one and I'm head over heels for it however she won't part  with it.
No matter how much I cry/beg/threaten/cry
So when I came across this little beaut I almost peed myself!
Looking in the label I was so happy to see I was right it was a Lama coat just like Granny Carrys
SCORE!
safe to say I snapped it up it was in great condition just take a look at the pictures.

Mothering Sunday

I was woken up this morning by my wonderful boy and kisses, and a cup of coffee (from the Hubby)
I got to snuggle in bed as I was proudly presented with gifts and a card which made me cry, He tried so hard to do he's neatest hand writing and it really shows!
I got spoiled all day with a new teapot with built in infuser for my new passion, LOOSE TEA! I tell you people it's the way forward.
I also got some great home baked cupcakes and a Wool dress.
Absolutely stunning and perfect it's made by Lowie, not vintage but a vintage cut and it was a bargain.
I had a lovely day and even took flowers to Barrys mum and my beautiful Grandmothers.

cuppycakes made with love and icing!

Springs on its way

Hello my dear little lovers of the elderly, the forgotten and the victory roll!
what better way to kick start British spring time than with a fully vintage and super checkered "Swallow fine in the rain" mac! vintage ad here
after a bit of digging I found the company ran from 49 till 92. From the condition and tags on my mac I estemate its from around the late 50's early 60s, it's made from crimplene.
Isn't it wonderful? I got it from A la Mode (that poor woman must be sick of me, I hang around her shop like a deranged vintage sycophant) any way moving swiftly on....

Ohhh look at the tag..swoon!

Shoes!!!
Oh my goodness do you know how difficult it is to find this sort of shoe in a size 8?
Very that's how!
I found these in a random charity shop. The lady that served me said they had literally just put them out.
£4.00 How could I leave them it would have been mean surely?
They're Brevitt, to be honest I couldn't really find out much about them I think they're newish 1992 or so.
But as I say size 8 old shoes, hard to find

Hello Beautiful, yup you caught me I went and brought another handbag I don't even feel guilty.
Its a 1950s one it's complete with little coin purse on a golden chain and a comb and mirror
And it's a bit yummy.
thank you Disgruntled Cat >.<
