Beehives, Brick lane and Besties

Today I went on a lady date with my best mate... Here she is

Isn't she a peach! We had an impromptu day out in London (LANDAN if you're us)

The morning started with me like this...

And wound up with me like this.,,

You're looking at about 2 cans of hairspray right there ! Standard procedure.

The dress is Lindy bop, the brooch Earstwilder (cute or what)  and the cats eye sunnys are from Camden.

So at ten we got to the train station

And were off!

Our first stop was somewhere I've wanted to go for years, Tate modern.
We saw some paintings that made us squeal with joy, (see below)

 And some great installation pieces

After poncing around and making art appreciation noises (in a middle class bohemian manner) We decided to jump on the tube

To shoreditch and Bricklane

As you can see it's suitably urban ;)
And the boutiques and market were crazy. Look at the haul!

The humming birds I couldn't leave they're exquisite! And I'll be buying lots more from this designer .

Then off on the tube again to our favourite place

Where we had a good mooch and people watched!

Obviously after all the excitement a drink was in order
Gin and rum!
Then another slow mooch back to the train station

It really was a perfect day, made all the more perfect as I spent it with my best chum.

Anniversary fun ❤️

Our anniversary happens to be on St Valentines day
(I know! I know) but we were young and in love and wanted to ram that love all up in everyone's face.

Now since mini was born
We haven't been out! So our lovely friend baby sat the kiddies  Whilst I got ready!

And then something magical happened... We went out for dinner and cocktails!

It was lovely! Hope everyone had a super day! ❤️❤️❤️

Why charity shops rock harder than the rock

Reasons why charity shops are the bestest

1:
Look at this outfit! And these jewellery pieces !

2: this dress! It's an original Lindy bop I got it for £7 instead of £35...Winning!

3: you recycle and help the environment !
Give stuff on, buy stuff back at a fraction of the cost.

4: your wardrobe can look like this for cheaps!

5: they sell old stuff! You can use vintage shops (I do all the time) but sometimes if you're dedicated and diligent you can find shiz like this! Just look at him😍
He was £3 for god sakes!

6: They make your kids happy!

7: I just like them! I like that occasionally I'll fine a cape or a 1950s spoon that I have to have. Or books. They're full of stuff that has lived in someone else's life, they've been touched and worn and loved. And now I can love them!
If you think you're too good to charity shop you're missing out! And being a donkey... Are you a donkey? Or are you a fricken bargain hunting, new wardrobe having beast!
You decide 😆
