Some of the things I brought like the Melamine plates and cups where on sale, they'll go towards filling up my picnic hamper.
and my gorgeous clock was just £50p
I love and endorse shopping locally I think we should all encourage local business's especially when
they're as fantastic and quirky as Heselden Hats!

The tale of London the Husband and the cape!

So our 7th wedding anniversary was this month, And my lovely Barry decided to treat us to London so we left our munchkin with his grandma and stepped out!

Waiting for our train.

My dress came from A la Mode, it's a 1940s shirt dress navy blue with a maroon lining it was so comfy.

Barry trying to figure out the phone for photo taking...should have taken his glasses perhaps ?

Our first stop the national gallery

So here's my cape! isn't it adorable?
I found it, or I should say some lady found it. I saw her out the corner of my eye carry this beautifully purple mass of tweed over to the mirror, look at it then put it down.
It's fair to say I almost grabbed her arm off! I rocketed over scooped it up with a mutter of "you weren't going to have this were you" then before she could answer I darted into the changing room to start my illicit love affair with my very first cape!
Its a Strelitze info here
Its heavy and lined and looks good with everything and its all mine *insert crazed laughter here*
And the best bit, the bit I adore about second hand shops is the cost! £8.00, £8.00 I tell you!
Bargain
I got a lot of little old ladys cooing over it It made me feel pretty special and I love owning something no one else can.

So lets talk about the make up! I did a pale foundation with a neutral eye, I used liquid liner to give my eyes that beautiful upsweep, and the lipstick was a real find its no7 called love red its a nice matt one that lasted all day you can find it in Boots
I think the make up really made the outfit, I got a lot of looks and smiles and stopped a few times, people were really taken with the whole thing.

And finally my lovely Husband treated me to two of my favourite book of all time the great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald. And one who flew over the cuckoos nest by Ken Kesey.
