Vixen luncheon!

Well today me and Sara and the babies met the wonderful and let's face it stone cold fox, that is Linz! (And of course miss Layla Rae! 

We all met up in our tiny town and had lunch! In the Yard (which is quite frankly fab!) 

It was delicious, and fun!

The day I realised selfies were ok!

Take a look at this 

That's my face. We haven't always been friends if I'm honest, but today I realised something... that's my face and I quite like it! 

I was having a think as you do about the "selfie culture" and if at 30 I was too old and too much of a mum to enjoy taking pictures of my face, it's vain as fuck for a start! Then I realised...hey! my face, I like that shit! Here's another 

I realised in a society where we are conditioned to hate ourself as woman or let's face it "objects" it's not cool to admit you like taking photos of yourself 

           BUT I DO! I DO SO HARD! 

(disclaimer ) I also very much enjoy taking photos of my tea, my children and brooches. 

It's ok, it's ok to like my face and photograph it. I've realised I don't need to apologise or feel bad. And that's actually bloody liberating! A woman who likes her face! What next ? She may even like her imperfect body! The very thought. Well ya got me I've also decided my body's not on the bad side either (here it is in a totally inappropriate dress) 

That's right I'm a chubby 30 year old mum who gets drunk and takes photos of her self squeezed into stripywiggle dresses! And if you like that you should see what I get up to on a weekend 

 😉 

So in conclusion selfies are great! We should all take and share them and love them. Because at the end of the day that's what Instagram  was made for! That, and the occasional meme 😉

Faversham car show

I absolutely adore my town, I was working today and could see all the fun going on in marketplace!

My beaut of a boss came in and said we could be naughty and go for a walk. So I finished my tea 

 Straightened my dress 

 And took a stroll...

 I wasn't allowed to buy cider as I had a bride :( 

So back to work I went! Until quitting time when my family came to fetch me! 

Ahhhhhh then there was cider.

Weird jewellery and why I love it

So we all have our little quirks don't we? Mine has to be my soft spot for ridiculous vintage and rockabilly jewellery! 

What is it that makes me squeeee? Well below I have in all their pictorial gloriousnes a bit of my ever expanding collection :) 

This fab custom necklace (with my babies names ) is from bête Noir. The birdie is wooden, I'm not sure on the make.

So this one is glass oranges, she's 1940s and came by way of the USA 

This necklace is from a Spanish shop called Annie's Fingers. I have lots of her bits! 

Ahhhh my bee and anchor necklace, a birthday present from my pops. She's a one off piece from an art gallery

Stupidly oversized anchor from tatty Devine, also a Bakelite bird necklace from the 50s!

This pineapple necklace was brought with the sole purpose of going with this dress, outfit made! eBay purchase
